Comelit Intercom Installer NYC

Comelit is one of the most-installed intercom brands in NYC multifamily. We replace older 4-wire systems, retrofit Comelit into landmarked buildings, and tie modern Comelit head-ends into mobile-credential platforms. Most of our Comelit work is in 30-to-300-unit rentals, co-ops, and condos in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

What We Install

Comelit Visto & Quadra

Audio/video intercom for multifamily lobbies and apartments using Comelit's flagship IP product lines.

Riser Replacement

Riser replacement work where the original cabling has reached end-of-life and the new system needs modern infrastructure.

Mobile-App Credentials

Mobile-app credential integration so residents can grant access from a phone — no fob, no buzzer, no missed deliveries.

Lobby Stations & Head-Ends

Lobby station replacements and head-end upgrades for buildings keeping unit-side handsets but modernizing the front end.

Access-Control Integration

Comelit's access-control product line ties entry doors, garage doors, and the lobby into one platform.

Multi-Vendor Integration

Tie Comelit into Paxton, HID, Brivo, and other access platforms when the building runs a mixed stack.

Where We Install

Co-op and condo intercom replacements on the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Murray Hill, and Tribeca. Rental building intercom and access conversions in the Bronx, Washington Heights, and Inwood. Brooklyn brownstone and small-multi-tenant installs in Park Slope, Cobble Hill, and Bed-Stuy. Owner-occupied co-op installs in Forest Hills and Rego Park.

Comelit Installs — Common Questions

Can you replace a Comelit system in a building with no construction window?

Yes. We phase the work by riser, keeping the existing system live until each riser cuts over. Tenants get a notification window. Most 100-unit buildings cut over in 2 to 4 weeks.

Will the new Comelit system work with mobile credentials?

Yes. Comelit Visto IP supports mobile credentials and remote access. We can configure the system so residents and property managers have phone-based control.

What does a typical Comelit replacement cost?

For a 50-to-100-unit building, $400 to $900 per unit installed, plus the head-end and lobby station equipment. Larger projects scale down per-unit due to riser and labor efficiency.

Can I keep my old Comelit handsets and just upgrade the head-end?

Sometimes, depending on which generation of handset you have. We'll do a panel and unit-side compatibility audit before quoting a head-end-only upgrade.

Does Comelit integrate with my access-control system?

Yes. Comelit can be tied into Paxton, HID, Brivo, and Comelit's own access platform. We program the integration during commissioning.

Do you handle the COI and the building paperwork?

Yes. Co-op and condo board approval, COIs naming the building and the managing agent, and any product literature the board requires are handled as part of the project.

140-Unit Co-op Cutover

A 140-unit co-op on the Upper East Side replaced its 1980s 4-wire system with a Comelit Visto IP head-end and apartment stations across 14 floors. Phased riser-by-riser cutover took 18 working days. Property manager now manages the system and credentials from a single dashboard.
