UniFi Installer NYC

UniFi is one of the most reliable platforms for serious WiFi and managed networking in NYC, but only when the install is planned. We design, install, and tune UniFi systems for residential, commercial, and multifamily clients across the city, and we do site surveys before we quote so the network actually performs the way the spec promises.

What we install

UniFi access points for homes, offices, and lobbies, including the WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 product lines. UniFi managed switching for everything from a 4-port edge install to a 48-port stack with PoE+ for cameras. UniFi Dream Machine and Cloud Gateway routers and security gateways. UniFi camera systems and Door Access for clients who want one ecosystem. VLANs, guest network isolation, and IoT segmentation. Site-to-site VPN setups.

Where we install

Townhouse and brownstone WiFi rebuilds in the West Village, Park Slope, and Bed-Stuy. Office and creative-space networks in Industry City, Long Island City, and Williamsburg. Apartment-building common-area WiFi and resident networks across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens. Large-property estate networks in Westchester and the Hamptons.

FAQ

How is a UniFi install different from a mesh kit?

A mesh kit broadcasts and hopes. A UniFi install does a site survey, plans channel and AP placement around the building’s geometry, sets transmit power so APs don’t trample each other, and tunes roaming. The result is throughput that doesn’t drop when you walk between rooms.

Can you cover a 4-floor brownstone with UniFi?

Yes. Typical brownstone covers with 3 to 5 indoor APs plus an outdoor AP if there’s a rear yard or roof deck.

Do you do VLANs and IoT segmentation?

Yes. Standard for our installs over 1,500 square feet or with more than 30 devices. Smart-home and IoT goes on its own VLAN; cameras and access on another; users and guests on separate networks.

Can you replace a managed system another contractor installed?

Yes. We do UniFi takeovers regularly. We start with a configuration audit, an AP heat-map walk, and a switching review, and then we either tune the existing install or replace what’s failing.

How much does a UniFi install cost in NYC?

Residential: $2,500 to $12,000 depending on AP count, switching, and runs. Commercial: $4,000 to $50,000+ depending on drop count and managed-switch design.

Are you pursuing Ubiquiti UEWA?

Yes. We are pursuing Ubiquiti’s installer program and inclusion in installers.ui.com.

Project case story

A Tribeca loft owner had three mesh kits stacked on top of each other and still had dead spots in the back bedroom. We replaced the mess with a UniFi Dream Machine, four U6-Pro APs, a 16-port PoE switch, and a tuned VLAN config. Whole-loft throughput averaged 850 Mbps wireless after commissioning.
