Lutron Installer NYC

Lutron is the lighting-control standard for high-end NYC residential work. From a single-room Caseta install to a full HomeWorks programming job in a Tribeca penthouse, the system only delivers what it’s capable of when the install and the programming are done by someone who’s done it before. We install Lutron systems daily across the boroughs and Westchester, and we commission in person rather than over a phone call.

What we install

Lutron Caseta for single-room and small-home retrofits. Lutron RA3 for whole-home control where the owner wants Caseta-grade simplicity with deeper expansion. Lutron HomeWorks for penthouses, townhouses, and estate-scale projects that need every fixture, every keypad, and every shade choreographed. Lutron motorized shades, including roller, drapery, honeycomb, and exterior systems. Integration with Sonos, Control4, Savant, and Crestron.

Where we install

Penthouse HomeWorks programming on the Upper West Side, Tribeca, Hudson Yards, and the West Village. Townhouse rewires in Greenwich Village, Cobble Hill, and Park Slope. Estate-scale lighting and shading in Bedford, Pound Ridge, Scarsdale, and the Hamptons. Apartment Caseta and RA3 retrofits across Chelsea, Murray Hill, Brooklyn Heights, and Williamsburg.

FAQ

Caseta vs RA3 vs HomeWorks: which one fits my project?

Caseta is best for under 75 devices, simple programming, and fast turnaround. RA3 is the right call for whole-home installs that need keypads, scenes, and integration with shades or AV but don’t require HomeWorks-level depth. HomeWorks is the right call for installs over 200 devices, custom keypad engraving, deep AV/security integration, and projects where the dealer relationship and post-install support are non-negotiable.

How much does a typical Lutron install cost?

Caseta retrofits run $2,500 to $8,000 per home. RA3 whole-home installs typically start at $15,000 and scale with device count. HomeWorks projects start around $50,000 and commonly land between $80,000 and $300,000 for NYC penthouses and townhouses.

Can you commission a system the previous installer abandoned?

In most cases, yes. We start with a documentation audit and a panel walk. If the project is in a recoverable state we’ll quote the completion. If it’s been wired wrong from the start we’ll lay out a redo path with options.

Do you program shading scenes and lighting scenes together?

Yes. Most of our HomeWorks and RA3 commissioning includes scene work that ties shades, lights, and sometimes AV into one button press.

Will Lutron integrate with my Control4 or Savant system?

Yes. We program the integration so a single Control4 or Savant remote can drive Lutron scenes, and Lutron keypads can recall AV scenes.

Are you pursuing Lutron Pro status?

Yes. We are working through the Lutron authorized dealer program. In the interim, our installs are designed and commissioned to Lutron’s standard regardless of dealer-tier status.

Project case story

A West Village townhouse owner inherited a half-finished HomeWorks panel from a contractor who had walked off the job. We did a panel and software audit, replaced two failed dimmer modules, completed the keypad engraving order, and delivered a calibrated commissioning across 4 floors and 180 devices. Total project: 6 weeks from audit to handover.
